What 2012 elections wrought: sadly, the established order (component 2)

As a brand new year beckons in most cases a good idea to assess the present and by consequence the long run. We cannot change the past. We can only change the long run. However, changing the future is not very easy as we are written in context as those who live charmed lives. To keep from repeating the same mistakes year in year out takes a lots of effort. First, it is important to take note from the mistakes. Then it takes the persistence for right them. In that sense every day life is the first, second and third principles of Newtonian physics at their utmost and their worst.
Not four years (1949) as soon as the 'end' from the Second World War the US had 'military advisors' in South Vietnam.
Slowly initially then quicker there was a lot in troop strength in Southeast Asia. There was any excuses for people to throw at the contrived, some might say perceived Communist menace. In short, there is a need for cannon fodder. More for the point there was clearly a need to halt dead in their tracks an evergrowing grassroots leftist movement---but not simply in Southeast Asia---in the US at the same time.
Who easier to sacrifice and so appease the gods of war compared to the most able bodied teenage boys in the US who thanks to their age cannot yet vote and so had no say inside the matter? This feeding the gods of war would carry on for as long as it popularized break the back in the growing leftist movement within the US. Then it continued for considerably longer than 1975 in an attempt to insure that the left was saved in check.
I mention this since it is central on the statement that there is a leftist movement brewing inside US. There has been a left leaning tendency within this nation from your outset. There has also been equally as constant a tendency with the right to crush that left leaning tendency in the outset too.
It must be noted that even following the end of WWII, 1945, and the Tuskegee Airmen along with the 761st Tank Battalion notwithstanding-- Blacks, African-Americans were being bought, sold and traded throughout the South and Jim Crow was obviously a borning. Jim Crow would survive for up to another three decades effectively keeping slavery available by another name.
And if Jim Crow wasn't enough to quell the noise of civil rights activists the draft was. As the quantity of young Americans in uniform in Vietnam grew, it had been as if no person noticed except obviously for the boys.
Young men were being selectively thrown to the jungles of Southeast Asia by the lottery system run by local conscription boards run by White community leaders. These draft boards were comprised of fine upstanding citizens of each respective local area. There was little random or fair about them. The draft was simply a highly effective tool of social engineering. The male children of people who ran 'selective service' boards were safely ensconced in universites and colleges. It was no coincidence. University and college attendance exempted males from conscription. Then as now college enrollment was almost exclusively the domain of White males.
It is the working hypothesis on this blog how the conflict in Vietnam and actually most US 'wars' since WWII have been the result of both an increasing sense of entitlement for the part of the burgeoning military-industrial complex as well as the insecurity from the majority population. The insecurity is propelled by a fear of those that are different, those of color---and certainly not just in those foreign nations we invade.
For almost several years there would be half one million young Black, Hispanic and poor Whites on a lawn on any given day in Southeast Asia. They would battle Quixotically against a Quixotically imagined enemy of 'freedom loving people everywhere.'
At best it was the results of paranoid schizophrenic thinking---paranoid schizophrenic 'thinking' being part and parcel of leadership in the 'free world.' At worst it absolutely was the contrived and manipulated age for opportunistic capitalist extremists and leaders of the burgeoning military-industrial complex.
This nation had just emerged in the decade (1950's) which was at once very Medieval-conservative but which unbeknownst with it also incubated a leftist movement of resentment that will shake the very foundation with the political right. That incubating leftist movement would cause conservatives to produce a repression just as brutal as anything any Third World bully can rain down upon those unfortunate enough to become living in that world. It was Bashar Al-Asaad with finesse.
It was the decade that shamefully gave this nation, the institutionalized pledge of allegiance, 'In God We Trust', the McCarthy Era witch hunts, blacklisting, slavery by another name within the form of Jim Crow laws and a twice elected national hero since its figure head.
But in spite of the iron-grip almost all White population had around the nation there is unrest fomenting in the nation's womb.
The election of 1960 while very conservative and not without 'voting irregularities' on the time seemed radical. Things radical would come following your election but not as a direct result in the election.
Nothing much has changed since then. Statistically it's still the identical number of people graduating colleges and universities. The rate is even about exactly the same by type and amount of degree. The numbers of senior high school educated students who go on to college has stayed a constant of those many decades also.
When the 1960's rolled out an entire other USA rolled out with it. This was the generation of free love, drug users, free-thinkers, a generation of resistance fighters and also other non-conformist malcontents. In short it was a good time, however tumultuous and radical, to become alive. It would have been a throw back to the days prior to the US Revolution.
The 1960's would have been a decade-sized maelstrom of music, art, writing reflecting the life and times that inspired it. It was obviously a time when the young and also some in the not so young pushed back hard against the racist, repressive, 'hell fire and brimstone' majority in the most pugnacious way.
There are already times inside history on this nation when the puppet masters have mislaid control of their carefully orchestrated conservative repression and power over their tools of social engineering. This was one particular. But when you hold each of the cards, money and power any effort to veer over course by upstarts can be put down. In that sense the controllers of the nation are not any different as opposed to controllers of Syria, China, Russia or another repressive regime about the michigan lottery instant games online planet.
No doubt in 2008 many the younger generation sought and thought they were advocating for 'real change.' What the election of 2008 should have made quite clear to observers is that real change is not so easy to research. If the 2008 election didn't disabuse the numerous concerned citizens with this nation then a 2012 election surely will. But you say, wait the president won re-election on the capitalist extremist! To that I respond, 'look again.'
The 2012 election needs to have made very clear that money is power. That the top 2% in general and the top 1% in particular are unwilling to present, share or transition their ability. No distinct from in Egypt, Syria, Russia or China the powerful elite doesn't have intention of quitting any of its control or power. That's just not going to happen.
Only a people's movement can initiate the vitality capable of challenging the status quo. The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement, for instance, almost designed a difference. OWS at least woke up a number of people. That movement would have been a throwback on the efforts from the last century.
People's movements are insurgent in nature. Their counter-culture nature can be a threat as real because revolution. They are the essence of revolution and change.
What the world is experiencing presently is really as old as the republic itself. It could be the age old battle between your 'haves' and also the 'have nots.'
In Vietnam up to 50 % a million representatives from the US 'have nots' struggled to survive inside jungles of Southeast Asia with only 'mother's little helper' to relieve the pain of poverty, war and discrimination whilst an average of 500 body bags were flown home each month for nearly a decade. Because the bodies were those of Blacks, Hispanics and poor Whites no-one noticed, a smaller amount cared.
Also struggling were the natives in the land we invaded who as far as these were concerned had done absolutely nothing to bring on this onslaught from the US.
Meanwhile, the 'haves' found Vietnam a premade research and development lab ready to the taking and exploiting. It was an R & D lab funded from the US 99 percent and the disadvantaged of Vietnam.
Critics of the hypothesis obtain proof. The proof is everywhere. It's a few reading, trying to find it and making the bond. The proof is inside lies used to justify the invasion of sovereign nations generation after generation---and there is a reason for that, too.
From Texas Red: a cratered landscape of prisons, deplorable apartheid public education, deficiency of healthcare and politicians and majority population intent on keeping it that way'
